ELSEWHERE 3: "The New Life"

The third issue of Elsewhere is now ready to be sent to the printer, and I'll be pre-selling copies postage-free until the ship-date--mid-June (see right). This issue features a selection of 32 comics from the ongoing "New Life" series, which has been serialized in Rain Taxi since 1997.
Includes words by &/or images of: George Albon, Yehuda Amichai, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Paul Blackburn, William Blake, Robert Creeley, Mahmoud Darwish, Daniel Davidson, Marta Deike, Tom Devaney, Diane di Prima, T.S. Eliot, Drew Gardner, Nada Gordon, Alfred Starr Hamilton, Lyn Hejinian, Ernst Herbeck, Mitch Highfill, Brenda Iijima, Laura (Riding) Jackson, Rodney Koeneke, Colleen Lookingbill, Kimberly Lyons, Jackson Mac Low, Bernadette Mayer, Eileen Myles, Emile Nelligan, Frank O'Hara, Ezra Pound, Laurie Price, Jerome Sala, Spencer Selby, Ron Silliman, Gertrude Stein, Chris Stroffolino, Gary Sullivan, Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven, John Wieners, William Carlos Williams, John Wilmot (Earl of Rochester), and Kevin Young.
Also includes an introduction by Rain Taxi editor, Eric Lorberer.
"It might just be one of the best uses of comics autobiography in a long time," The Comics Journal (on Elsewhere #1).
"Gary Sullivan makes American culture apparent at its point of birth the way the Hubble Telescope captures images of the birth of a star," Broken Frontier (on Elsewhere #2).
"One of the two most important practitioners of the 'graphic poem,'" Publishers Weekly.

Hey Gary,
I couldn't find your email address here, so I'm leaving a comment instead.
I received your package on Monday and was pleasantly surprised to see a copy of Elsewhere #1 as well. Going back to my rant about computer coloring, I really love that your use of Photoshop is not as intrusive or obnoxious as say Richard Isanove (he colors comics for Marvel).
And #2 is fantastic. I'm really intrigued by what is done by the representation of the textual landscape of Brooklyn, kind of in a Situationist or Lettriste way. This is probably one of the most interesting comics I've seen in ages.
Cheers,
François
Hey, thanks, François, that's very kind.
My e-mail, which I guess I should put somewhere prominently on the blog, is gpsullivan at hotmail dot com.
Hum ... The Paypal link to order #3 is broken. Well, it links to PayPal, but says that it cannot decrypt the certificate ID.
Okay, I've removed the button from the post itself, which I think was causing the problem. The button in the menu on the right should work, but it won't show up unless you go to the homepage, here.
